It is a New Year and we would like to say Thank
You for your support of NCAST in our first year as the ONLY charted
sleep society in North Carolina. Please take a couple of minutes
to view our updated website: www.ncastsleep.org.
This has been a major undertaking for a new organization involving
many hours of planning for current and future use, but we are
very pleased with the progress and outcome of this site. You will
see new features and happenings posted on the website in the near
future. We look forward to you using it often and checking for
updates; and hopefully, you will find it easy to navigate !
We accomplished many things this past year with the help of each
member including the formation of the North Carolina Association
of Sleep Technologists, a successful continuing educational meeting
and submission of our legislation – House Bill 2015 !!
Our progress has exceeded our anticipated goals
for 2007 – and we plan to do it again for 2008. In order
to continue on the successful path of education and legislation,
and achieve our objectives, we are asking for your input in helping
NCAST sustain our priorities.
Membership Dues for 2008 are now due! We have
enclosed our application form so that our records remain up to
date. Please take a few moments to complete the enclosed form
or you may complete it online. If you choose to complete your
membership online, we ask you to please complete a hard copy and
mail to our office to make sure the information is updated correctly
in reference to your status, credential, and contact information.
In the near future, this extra step won’t be necessary.
We are a non-profit organization and all monies collected go to
the upkeep of the website, Legislative efforts, and Continuing
Education Seminars. You may have received a letter or email from
the AASM asking for donations in reference to NC legislative efforts.
Please keep in mind that this request is strictly voluntary and
you may give to AASM if you wish; however, please consider giving
any donation of any amount for legislative efforts to NCAST as
your first priority. AASM, along with many other individuals and
entities, has stepped forward with monetary and other supportive
measures to assist with support of our bill – H 2015. An
additional form is enclosed if you wish to donate any amount to
the Legislative efforts.
Once again, we congratulate each individual for your commitment
and belief in NCAST as your organization to promote the Polysomnography
profession as a distinct and autonomous medical field and recognize
the importance of your chosen career.
Many thanks to you and we look forward to your continued membership
!!!!!
Sincerely,
Will Underwood, RPSGT
President
